The Apex Legends player community has a great affection for the playable characters of the popular battle royale from Respawn Entertainment, and that is that, after its launch in November 2021, the Netflix animated series Arcane from Riot Games became one of the highest rated shows on the entire streaming platform.
Something that we find quite curious is that, with an engaging story, amazing music, and unique art style, viewers praised almost every aspect of Arcane. So given its popularity, it makes sense that fans of the series have created a lot of artwork as a tribute to the show.
However, very few of these designs combine two beloved universes for an ultimate collaboration. Well, that’s exactly what talented 3D character artist Tim Brown Lees has done, bringing Wattson from Apex Legends to the Arcane series.
Wattson recreated in an Arcane-style artwork
Featured on @Tim Brown Lees’ ArtStation profile, the amazing artist has created three separate portraits of Wattson within the Arcane universe. Not only did they manage to capture the unique style of Riot’s Netflix series, but they also stayed true to Wattson as a Legend and managed to incorporate every detail of her outfit into the game.
Wattson is depicted in three separate configurations that are completely different and show her performing a set of her available Apex emotes, so we recommend you visit her official ArtStation account to dive deeper.
With the first showing Wattson walking away from a burning building, the second placing the Static Defender in a more natural setting with a flowering tree, and the third in front of his iconic fences, Tim has certainly wowed us with these designs.
These kinds of collaborations and crossovers between different universes always get fans excited, so hopefully Tim will continue to create amazing artwork and maybe delve even deeper with Apex Legends characters into the world of Arcane in the future.
