This Tuesday a question and answer session was held between the board of directors of Nintendo and its investors, where one of them took the opportunity to ask why the company did not launch remakes of F-Zero, Baten Kaitos, Wario Land and other series people who feel long forgotten.
During the question and answer session, one of Nintendo’s investors asked the board of directors if there were any plans for new games or remakes related to past IPs, mentioning some of the series that he would like to see return. These series are F-Zero, Baten Kaitos, Wario Land, The Frog For Whom the Bells Tolls, Trade & Battle: Card Hero, and Chosoju Mecha MG.

Yesterday the Twitter user momiji (@momiji_manjyuu) revealed that he was the one who asked Nintendo investors that question, saying that he delivered our enthusiasm “directly to the Nintendo board.” However, the company’s response was that they are always trying interesting ways to revive old franchises.
In his question, the investor told Nintendo officials that some of the games they released in the past were very well received, so he would like them to be used actively and effectively. In this regard, president Shuntaro Furukawa said that they cannot make new games or remakes of all the franchises that fans want, but he is grateful for their expectations.
A couple of months ago former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said that Nintendo hasn’t abandoned F-Zero but they need a good idea to bring it back. Still, Reggie said he feels confident that some Nintendo developer is experimenting with ideas for a new F-Zero, as he says Nintendo doesn’t usually abandon franchises.
