After the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that shook Mexico City and other entities in the central region of the country tonight, with an epicenter 14 kilometers southeast of Acapulco, Guerrero, authorities ruled out serious damage after the event.
In Mexico City, the Secretary of Citizen Security, Omar García Harfuch, reported that the damages have not been relevant and that some neighborhoods were without electricity.

Mayor Álvaro Obregón does not report damages
After the 7.1 magnitude earthquake registered in Mexico City, Álvaro Obregón Civil Protection and Unique Police reported that the Mayor’s Office remains undamaged in strategic and administrative facilities, as well as in houses.
The emergency teams of the Mayor’s Office will continue with the exhaustive review and the streets will be monitored through the cameras of the Silver Base and in coordination with the C2 Poniente.

State of Mexico rules out damage to health sector and basic services
Governor Alfredo Del Mazo reported that in the State of Mexico there is no damage to the health sector or basic services of the entity, after the earthquake in Acapulco, Guerrero.
“At the moment in # Edoméx no damages are reported. The health sector and basic services such as water, electricity, communications and fuels work normally, ”he said on his social networks.
So far no incidents have been recorded and the infrastructure review protocol was started.
Likewise, no structural damage is reported in units run by the Instituto de Salud del Estado de México.
73 aftershocks are registered until 10:00 p.m.
According to the National Seismological Survey, 73 aftershocks of the earthquake have been registered up to 10 pm, of which the strongest was of magnitude 5.2.
