Why have you decided to bet heavily on Mexico?
We arrived in Mexico in 2014 and we found ourselves with the surprise of a local talent passionate about creating and solving challenges. It was then that we decided to grow in Mexico in a forceful way and today we are 3,500 Globers (as we call our team) throughout three of the main cities in Mexico, with aggressive growth plans for the next 5 years. We have a strong portfolio of AAA clients, both local and international, and we are confident that Mexican IT talent is, without a doubt, world class.
How do cities choose to settle, what attributes are their priority?
From the beginning, Globant goes where the talent is. Gone are the days when talent looked for work: today work goes wherever talented people are. We train, develop and understand the need for purpose that is so important to everyone today. In this 100% digitized environment, it is no longer necessary to settle only in large cities, we are where the talent is and, from there, we create products and services that solve the challenges of the global companies we serve around the world in the most irreverent and pragmatic way. world.
How do you manage to attract talent in a market with high demand and high turnover among young people?
Without a doubt, the biggest challenge for ICT consulting companies is to attract and retain talent, especially after medium and long-term training. At Globant we feel confident with the set of satisfaction factors that we offer, among them, a philosophy of inclusion with specific goals: in 2025, 50% of leadership positions will be held by women. So far we have covered 30% and we have job placement and re-employment plans, development of leadership skills and benefits associated with motherhood that is compatible with the world of work. Also, we assume our responsibility with the planet and, today, we are already zero carbon and we provide consultancy to large corporations to achieve this important goal.
