Attention! spoilers below
Did Obi-Wan Kenobi know that Anakin Skywalker was alive the world after leaving Mustafar after their last confrontation? The Disney + series has answered the question and has done so, with an exemplary narrative exercise. After being pursued by the tenacious Inquisitor Reva, Obi-Wan ends up receiving news that hits him hard. It’s about the fact that his ward, whom he thought was dead or at least out of his reach after the traffic confrontation, its alive. And not only that, but he also became the right hand of the Emperor as Darth Vader.
The exception gives a tragic sense to what the series showed in its first episodes about Obi-Wan Kenobi. First of all, the fact that during the long ten years of exile and flight of the Jedi, he has had no news about what happens beyond Tatooine. At the other extreme is the fact that understanding who the Emperor’s powerful ally is changes everything. Anakin Skywalker is not only the most powerful Jedi before Order 66, he also had a destiny to fulfill within The Jedi Order. Balance The Force and also face the Sith threat.
Of course, none of the above happened. And Obi-Wan Kenobi ended up in a deadly confrontation with his padawan. The result was what he believed to be a heinous mind for Anakin and also the end of his story. But now, he has just found out that not only is he alive, but he is also looking for him.

An implacable enemy in Obi-Wan Kenobi
Or so has been the way Inquisitor Reva described the tenacity of hatred of Anakin, now Darth Vader. The caveat could explain the two announced clashes between the Sith and Kenobi.
The evident thing has been that the revelation shook the way in which until now Obi-Wan Kenobi understood what had happened after leaving Anakin wounded on Mustafar.. The fact that the moral and power battle between the two has remained incomplete may be one of the future points of interest in the series. At the same time, the logical path of the character in search of completing a fight that extends to new levels of darkness and intensity.
Kenobi had no real idea about Anakin’s fate once after he was wounded? Let us remember that after the confrontation, Padme Amidala later died in childbirth and in the midst of his agony she insisted that “there is still good in him”. And indeed, the twins were hidden from the Emperor’s voracity. It always seemed obvious that Kenobi had a clear idea about what happened to Anakin Skywalker after the series of connected tragedies. Or is it not so clear?
For now, the series has shown that the reveal affected Obi-Wan Kenobi considerably. Also that Vader has a revenge to collect and that he is about to do it and that Inquisitor Reva is his executing hand. Does it mean that Kenobi, isolated and far from purpose, will decide to walk the way back in search of his past?
