Studio Ghibli has one of the most distinctive and recognizable animation styles in the entire industry. His animated movies are second to none, and very few can actually live up to the standards he set. Spirited Away. The tape left us with an important question after the credits rolled, and now we finally have the answer.
Toshio Suzuki, executive producer of the film, participated in a recent online question and answer session with the community. You will remember that during the film, Chihiro and Haku They promised to meet again one day, but it was never clear if they actually did. According to Suzuki, the answer in theory is “yes”, but he prefers to leave it open to the interpretation of the fans:
“Haku was the spirit of the river that runs near the house where Chihiro lived. If Chihiro ever visits that river…”
At this point it’s hard to believe that Studio Ghibli intends to retake this franchise, so the community will have to settle for this answer. So if you think that Chihiro Y Hakku eventually they got together, so you can do it now that their producer left the door open.
Last year, Studio Ghibli he auctioned off a bunch of concept art and images from his various movies, and this auction is said to have broken sales records. You can read more about it by clicking here.
Publisher’s note: On the one hand, I don’t like that we haven’t had a definitive answer to this question, but I think it was good that they left the door open for any possibility. We’ll see what Studio Ghibli surprises us with in its future productions.
