This week, Netflix Games will arrive on Android mobile devices after a very limited trial period. For their part, iOS users will still have to wait.
Since the platform announced its intentions to reach the gamer world, it was clear that its desire was to monopolize mobile devices in order to reach more users. Now, he is beginning to do so.
As of today, regarding streaming platforms, Netflix is the most popular in the market, with more than 210 million subscribers worldwide and with the expectation of reaching more than 220 million.
The last few weeks have been very successful for the platform after the premiere of Squid Game (The Squid Game), the South Korean series that, so far, is the most watched in Netflix history and has been the cause of more users to the site.
Both 2020 and 2021, even before the premiere of “The Squid Game”, had been years of decline in popularity for Netflix, because although it was still the platform with the most subscribers, the truth is that the growth of Amazon Prime Video, HBO, Disney Plus, among others, were already beginning to create havoc.
However, as we have seen in recent weeks, Netflix has once again placed itself above all and now it wants to continue down that path with the launch of its video game platform on different mobile devices.
Through its social networks, it was made official that, for Android users, on tomorrow, November 3, Netflix Games will be available and, in addition, it will arrive with five video games.

As reported, the five video games that the platform contains and that can be downloaded through Google Play are: Stranger Things: 1984; Stranger Things 3: The Game; Shooting Hoops; Card blast; and Teeter Up.
“Whether you want a casual game that you can start from scratch, or an immersive experience that allows you to delve into your favorite stories, we want to start building a library of games that offers something for everyone. We are in the early days of creating a great gaming experience and we are thrilled to take you on this journey with us, ”explained Mike Verdu, Vice President of Game Development at Netflix, in a release.
Although, as announced, the games will be installed tomorrow, those who so wish can now download them from Google Play. To do this, it is necessary to have an active Netflix account to be able to access.
On other topics, let’s remember that, just a few days ago, the situation with Netflix and its employees in the LGBTQI + community seemed to get complicated after the premiere of Dave Chappelle’s comedy special, which, for some of its trans workers, was offensive and they asked the cancellation of the same.
The idea was even to reach a strike, but, so far, it seems that this matter is kept under control, although it has been mentioned that the Dave Chappelle special will not be removed from its contents.
