Back to school has once again brought with it a significant portion of offers in fiber, mobile and television, in which MVNOs such as Digi, Simyo, Lowi, Jazztel and O2 have strengthened their mobile and fiber combined, and now Pepephone has responded with a subtle, but effective improvement that positions him at the height of the cheapest ones.
The novelty announced by Pepephone This represents the increase from 10 to 23 GB in the combined fiber and lower price mobile, and that also affects additional mobile lines, so that the MVNO of the MásMóvil Group has also become one of the best alternatives for families as we are going to see.
Better combined with fiber and a mobile line
For now, Pepephone continues to resist reducing the price of access to its fiber and mobile combined, which is below 30 euros in direct competitors, while its cheapest convergent stands at 38.90 euros.
For this price, Pepephone includes 100 Mbps fiber and 23 GB cumulative mobile. Same fiber speed as similar offering from O2 and Simyo, although O2 includes 25GB (non-stackable) per 1 euro less, and Simyo includes 35 GB cumulative, but without a landline, and offers the possibility of buying mobile phones in installments. MásMóvil itself has 25 GB for 39.90 euros, so it has been at a disadvantage compared to O2 and Pepephone.
Also around 40 euros of fee, among the highlights, Virgin telco and Jazztel offer the triple fiber speed than Pepephone, Digi offers three times the fiber speed in addition to many more gigs on mobile, and Lowi includes fiber six times faster and also more gigs on mobile.
The conditions of the offers converged with fiber and a mobile line in force in September 2021, they are as summarized in the comparative graph:
Cheaper family packages with fiber and two mobile lines
Where the improvement of Pepephone is most appreciated is when we add several mobile lines to the combination with fiber. Pepephone establishes its combined fiber a at 43.90 euros 100 Mbps and 23 cumulative on each line. For 1 euro less, Simyo offers 25 GB cumulative and Digi includes 24 GB accumulative and their fiber is three times as fast. For 1 euro more, Lowi also offers triple the fiber speed and 45 GB cumulative between the two lines, which can be shared.
At around 50 euros, Digi continues to be the most generous with 60GB on each line, followed by Virgin telco with 50GB, and Simyo with 35GB. What’s more Digi and Virgin offer 300 Mbps of fiber compared to the 100 Mbps of Pepephone and Simyo.
Of the cheap operators, Lowi is the MVNO with the highest fiber coverage.
Beyond prices and conditions, O2 and Lowi will be the cheap brands that have higher fiber coverage by having access to the deployment of telephone fiber, in addition to Vodafone’s own in the case of Lowi. On the other hand, Simyo, Digi and Pepephone have the most limited fiber coverage because they only have access to their own wholesalers’ deployment, or to certain populations throughout Spain in the case of Digi.
