While we do not stop warning that Telegram continues to push strongly and is becoming the fashionable app among many users, WhatsApp continues to be the most downloaded app of the moment and is the dominant one with hundreds of millions of users ahead. But as I have said recently, taller towers have fallen so they cannot rest on their laurels, as it seems to be happening.
This type of online messaging is getting some users to try to control others or that we can even know if our messages have been read by the receiver. That damn double-check has its own thing, but there are ways to get around it for the one who sent us the message does not know that we have read it. So today we are going to know some ways to prevent our friend from knowing that we have read him with four legal forms.
From WhatsApp itself
WhatsApp has a good set of tools to at least try to go a little unnoticed. We can hide our photo from those contacts we want in order to reduce the fence of friends who can witness that makeover that we have made or that photo of the last trip we made that we have shared through the WhatsApp profile.
The first of these ways to avoid the double blue check is found from the WhatsApp settings:
- We go to the settings from the icon with three vertical dots and select “Settings”
- We select the first option called “Account” and then “Privacy”
- We find the option “Last time” and select the one that best suits from among three of its options: “Everyone,” Only contacts “or” No one “
If you do n’t want anyone to know when you have read the message, click the last one.
Extending notifications
From the latest versions of Android, we have the option of extending the notification bar to be able to read the messages included in them so that we do not even have to open the application. This will allow us to see the messages at a quick glance. And if it is the case that several messages arrive from several contacts, we can extend those messages with a very fast swipe.
This way is very fast and does not need much from us to read that WhatsApp message that has just arrived. Of course, forget about being able to see images and files attached to that message.
We may also have the need for these notifications to expand in a certain way to be able to manage them from the same status bar. An app that comes in handy for this is Nevolution. You can stop by this entry to know all its peculiarities.
The WhatsApp widget
Widgets in Android are useful for many things and it depends on the user you can find a better performance. Others, however, do not see use and do not use them. But surely, if they have the need to read the messages that arrive without opening the app so that it does not result in a double-check, they will be able to look at the widget that is included with WhatsApp in a different way.
We press for a long time on the desktop and search among the widgets for WhatsApp, add it and we will have all the messages. We have the option of adding a new desktop screen so that this widget can be modified in size and we have all the space to read all the messages without major worries.
Pop-up messages
Heads up or pop-up messages is another feature that has come to us not long ago and that allows us to respond to a message from anywhere on the phone by extending the status bar. A feature that allows a lot of productivity and that also offers us the option of not marking that double check when reading the message without replying to it.
This option can be activated from “Notifications” in “Settings” from the WhatsApp application itself.
