All Halo Infinite users can see that the state of the title could be much, much better than it is today, and the same can be said for the developer studio, 343 Industries. In recent months we have seen how several important figures within the study have been leaving, leaving an important gap which must be filled. While we wonder how long it will take to fill these positions, 343 Industries Brings Back a Halo Franchise Veteran.
The announcement has come thanks to a publication of the very Joseph Statencreative director of 343 Industries, who has uploaded to his personal Twitter account the news that Paul Bertone, a veteran of the Xbox franchise from its beginnings in Halo: Combat Evolved through Halo Reach, joins 343 Industries as “Technical Design Director”.
343 Industries Brings Back a Halo Franchise Veteran
I’m happy to confirm @Halo veteran Paul Bertone has joined the team as Studio Technical Design Director. Paul and I met in 1999, back in Bungie’s Chicago days, and then shipped Halo 1-3, ODST and Reach together. I’m thrilled to have Paul help lead the future of #HaloInfinite. pic.twitter.com/oYR8bhOBak

Although one person will not be able to fix all the problems that the studio is going through, surely Bertone’s experience, together with the leadership of Joseph Staten, can change the direction of the studio at least a little. Hopefully much more exciting news will be announced in the very near future about Halo Infinite, and no more major studio leaks.
