The unemployed population was 2.2 million people in February, which represents a reduction of 249,000 people compared to the same month in 2021.
According to the Inegi, 5.2 million people are underemployed, since they have the need and availability to work more hours. This is equivalent to an underemployment rate of 9.7%; 0.4 percentage points more than in January 2021.
