Back in mid-February, Samsung made its Galaxy S20 series official, which is currently at the top of its repertoire along with the new Galaxy Note 20. The most advanced version of the Galaxy S20, which is the Ultra, came with a camera module capable of providing 100X magnification, something never seen before in the smartphone market, but more than being surprising, it did not cause great astonishment because the final image quality with said zoom is not really good and leaves much to be desired.
Xiaomi wants to offer a more advanced solution than the 100X zoom of the Galaxy S20 Ultra, and for this, it intends to launch the Mi 10 Ultra soon, a terminal that will boast of higher magnification and that, according to rumors generated in recent days, it will deliver even better results than the South Korean model.
This is the Mi 10 Ultra from Xiaomi
A few hours ago, several photos of the retail box were leaked that reveals the design of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra. Some promotional materials of it also came to light, in addition to some cases, which are shown as the official ones and are consistent with the reports and photos already mentioned, so there is no doubt that the aesthetics of this high-performance terminal already It is not a mystery, although the firm has not revealed it as such.
According to what we can see, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is a high-performance mobile that makes use of design worthy of its range. When we talk about the front, we realize that we have an exact copy of the Mi 10, or at least that is what we can deduce, since it has a full screen that curves to the sides and houses a hole for the selfie shooter.
The thing changes when we focus on the rear panel, since here the camera design changes, a lot. Although we continue to have a four-trigger system, the housing that contains them is extremely different from that of the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, since it is rectangular and notably larger, being the main attraction point of the Mi 10 Ultra.
The telephoto lens is top-rated in the smartphone’s quad-camera setup and identified by the writing “120X” which clearly boasts its maximum hybrid zoom capability. Hopefully, this zoom is not as marketing as the one Samsung did with the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The 100X zoom of this named model is practically useless, since the level of detail and sharpness of the photos with this magnification is really very poor, which is why the company decided to dispense with this quality in the Galaxy Note 20, lowering it in these just 50X.
The official cases given to the leak of this device teach us that they will be launched on the market in three color options, which are green, pink and black. The phone, if we go by the renders, will only arrive in black and silver colors, but there may be one or two more color variants.
Nothing is known about the prices of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra yet, but apparently Xiaomi intends to manufacture and ship a substantial number of these devices, so it would be offered as a special edition. This also leaves doubt in the air as to whether it will be released in the global market, but we bet it will.
Similarly, based on what we already have with the current Mi 10 Pro, we speculate that the selling price of this 120X super zoom edition would be priced at over 1,000 euros. On the other hand, it is said that in reality, the name of Mi 10 Ultra might not be the one with which it is made official; There are other options on the table such as Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, Supreme Edition or Pro Plus.
