Another weekend is just around the corner and in Espinof we could not miss our usual review of the most important films that arrive these days. Today I have selected 11 must-see movies that arrive in theaters, are released in streaming, appear in physical format or can be seen on television. And this time with an extra dose of Spanish cinema.
Before getting into the matter, I remind you that you can also take a look at my selection of the best Netflix movies so far this year or one of my lists reviewing various titles to watch this weekend. You have them both from erotic cinema and from surprising films or epic feature films. Without further ado, let’s go with the essentials for this weekend.
In theaters
‘Camera Cafe, the movie’
The mythical television comedy makes the leap to the big screen with the return of most of its cast, who show that they feel very comfortable recovering characters that they left behind more than a decade ago. Obviously, here not everything happens in a single setting, but the essence of the television original is not betrayed and it is also successful in promoting more and more absurd humor.

‘beauty’
The new movie of Mamoru Hosoda It has taken longer to reach Spanish cinemas than we would have liked, but don’t miss the opportunity to see this beautiful visual spectacle on the big screen, which also has a story with enough heart to move all kinds of viewers.
‘Belle’ review
streaming
‘Ice Age: The Adventures of Buck Wild’ (‘Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild’)
New adventure of the popular animated franchise that arrives at Disney + Spain a couple of months late. Critics have not treated this spin-off of ‘Ice Age 3: The Origin of the Dinosaurs’ very well, but that has never been an impediment for a film to succeed.
‘The grandmother’
The latest horror movie Paco Square finally arrives in streaming from the hand of Amazon Prime Video. I already warn you that it is a work that focuses more on the how than on the what -I bet that at first it can be a bit frustrating, but the more you think about it, the clearer it becomes that there is nothing wrong with it-, feeding the inevitability of those that will happen.

‘2013: Rescue in LA’ (‘Escape from LA’)
Cuesta believes this entertaining sequel to ‘1997: Rescue in New York’ has remained unreleased in Spain in high definition until now. In fact, it only comes to our country in 4K and without a blu-ray copy, but any excuse is good to remember the existence of this Snake Plissken adventure from Kurt Russell much more playful than its predecessor.

in TV
‘The Other Side of the Bed’
A musical comedy that swept the box office when it premiered 20 years ago and that for some time has been somewhat forgotten in a way that is difficult to understand. Therefore, this is a good opportunity to recover it and have a good time with it. I still remember things like the Melon Boy…
Friday at 22:05 in La 2
‘The forest of the wolf’
More than remarkable movie Peter Olea about the legend of a Galician wolf shoulder of the 19th century. Attentive above all to the excellent interpretation of a Jose Luis Lopez Vazquez totally in the antipocalypse of that more comical face by which many remember him mainly.
Early morning from Friday to Saturday at 00:10 in La 2
‘Belle Epoque’
The Spanish winner of the Oscar is especially topical this week, since in addition to being able to recover it on television, a delivery of ‘The thing about Évole’. It always helps to have a script rafael azconabut pay attention also to the good work of its cast and the ability of Fernando Trueba to manage the ingredients at your disposal.
Early morning from Saturday to Sunday at 0:00 in La 1
Review of ‘Belle Epoque’
‘Public Enemy’ (‘Enemy of the State’)
A very entertaining action thriller Tony Scott made by Will Smith -in a role far from pulling charisma to reflect more the ups and downs of a normal man in a situation beyond his control-, well accompanied by a cast full of familiar faces. With certain touches of ‘With death on our heels’, although without ever reaching the level of that jewel by Alfred Hitchcock.
Sunday at 15:40 in Cuatro
‘L.A. Confidential’
A great film noir signed by Curtis Hanson from the novel James Elroy. Everything about her borders on a very good level, from the staging to the different technical sections, but perhaps what shines the most is the work of her cast.
Sunday at 10:00 p.m. at Paramount
Review of ‘LA Confidential’
‘Manchester by the sea’ (‘Manchester by the Sea’)
A heartbreaking drama with which Casey Affleck was justly rewarded with an Oscar. One of those films that leaves its mark, especially when it becomes clear what has led its protagonist to end up being like that.
