It is a fact that there is a devotion that borders on the cult around everything related to Elon Musk and his car company Tesla Motors.
These cars are far from being the best on the market, but they are today the most popular, accessible (in countries where the government don’t hate cars that dispense with gasoline) and user-friendly.
Although, year after year, it has been proven that its system has multiple areas of opportunity for improvement that could reduce the number of fatal accidents and risks for its own consumers.
Any Tesla is far from being considered an autonomous vehicle, but it has a function popularly known as Autopilot, powered by a system called Full Self-Driving (FSD) that is defended tooth and nail by fans of the brand.
But these subjects reached an extreme point where they put the lives of children at risk to prove that their Tesla is… safe?
YouTube removes videos of Tesla users who used children to prove their car wouldn’t run them over
According to a report from CNBCYouTube removed a video showing Tesla fans testing with real children that Full Self-Driving (FSD) software did stop in its tracks when detecting infants to avoid running them over.
The video was posted by Whole Mars Blog on YouTube last week after Omar Qazi, the person who runs Tesla’s fan account, posted a call seeking a San Francisco father willing to use his son for such a test of the software.
The very idea sounded like utter insecure nonsense, but Tesla investor and CEO of Volt Equity, Tad Park, ended up agreeing to test it out with his daughter and five-year-old son.
The video was produced, spread and, as would be obvious, YouTube ended up removing it when it went viral. Since the material technically violates the site’s guidelines regarding content that endangers minors:
“YouTube does not allow content that depicts a minor engaging in dangerous activities or encouraging minors to engage in dangerous activities.
Upon review, we determined that the shared videos violated our policies and removed the content as a result.”
This is what the statements of a spokesman before the media point out to declare more details about this crooked case in which Qazi uploaded the video again at an alternate site.
There you can see how effectively he uses children as test subjects for the Tesla’s FSD system. In the end, those involved affirm that the entire experiment was “benign” and that the video was eliminated due to pressure from the media. they don’t want spread that content.
