Following Play Music’s retirement, YouTube Music has become the Mountain View giant’s only music streaming service, although user content transfers from one service to another are still ongoing. Now, however, a novelty has been introduced to the site interface that will only affect Premium users.
In fact, if previously the sidebar consisted of Home, Trends, Subscriptions, Originals and Library, currently the item concerning YouTube Music has been added to this list. The icon in question is displayed in both compact and extended form.
However, nothing excludes this found from being extended to all other users who have not yet subscribed to the Premium version. The one described is a small change to be considered as a method to promote the “neo” Big G service, since the new side image could attract the attention of those who might be interested, but also of those who do not yet know what be it.
