For brands like Six Flags, 2020 was perhaps one of the darkest years in their entire history.
For months, these types of establishments were closed and without the opportunity to operate, which undoubtedly was a severe blow to their business in more ways than one.
It was April of last year, Mexican Association of Water Parks and Spas (AMPABA)For example, it indicated that until then the closure of these amusement centers could bankrupt 2,000 theme parks, water parks, amusement parks, museums, zoos and aquariums.
From this body, they pointed out that it is estimated that due to that first closure, more than 20 million visitors stopped going to these entertainment centers, generating economic losses of 8 billion pesos, which would have put 326 thousand direct jobs and 1.3 million at risk. indirect jobs.
Undoubtedly, these figures presented more than a year ago grew considering that the closure of these spaces was postponed until the last third of 2020.
With the change of the epidemiological traffic light earlier this year, spaces like Six Flags returned to their activities and although so far everything seemed to be going smoothly, a recent case has made it clear that in order not to lose more than necessary, these centers of entertainment will have to watch in great detail for the proper functioning of their facilities.
And it is that in recent hours, from social networks, a video has begun to circulate in which a couple of young visitors made a transmission of the moment in which they were trapped in one of the most popular attractions of Six Flags.
In the video a group of young people were shown who showed how after entering the game and after starting the course, the traction simply stopped working leaving the visitors in the heights.
“We got caught up in the ‘Joker’,” says the Facebook user identified as Yaniz De Caz, while showing his followers the view that this failure left them.
Additionally, during the transmission it was indicated that this attraction was not the only one to fail. Six Flags’ largest roller coaster, The Superman, also stranded some visitors on the rise.
As the minutes passed and in a luck to remain calm, the user narrated her experience and later indicated that park personnel had already begun to “rescue” users who would have been trapped in the heights.
Among the comments that the material generated, many users pointed out that the event could have been an electrical failure that greatly affected the operation of the amusement park located south of Mexico City.
Given these indications, some users joked with an alleged non-payment of the electricity service due to non-payment. So far, it is unknown how long the visitors were stranded.
At the time of the closing of this note, Six Flags Mexico has not issued a position in this regard regarding what happened inside its facilities.
The truth is that this type of situation, although in this case it did not happen to greater, should be kept to a minimum more when brands like Six Flags right now are facing an uncertain scenario, where although no new closings are foreseen, if they face a cautious consumer that although he intends to leave, he will only do so to those places that guarantee safety in all senses.
