The modding community got its act together when Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered hit PC in early August. There have been mods to convert to spider-man in all kinds of characters, and even a mod allows you to play as Uncle Ben’s Tombstone. Now, a new mod for the game allows you to replace the web-slinger with another popular Marvel character, Daredevil.
Marvel’s PC port Spider-Man Remastered was developed in collaboration between the original developer, Insomniac Games, and another PlayStation-owned studio, Nixxies Software. PC versions of games are often in high demand by fans for the ability to tweak the game and make it a unique experience.
Although most of the mods are cosmetic or offer slight enhancements to games, some can drastically change the game experience, such as changing Skyrim’s combat to be more like Elden Ring. Although this new mod allows players to play as ‘The Man Without Fear’ in Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastereddoes not offer any substantial changes in gameplay.
Still, it’s an impressive display of the skills of the modding community. This new modcreated by user TheRealiceMage on NexusMods, allows players to imagine what it would be like to play as Daredevil in a game like Marvel’s Spider-Man. Of course, this being a cosmetic mod, players will still throw webs at enemies and slide down New York skyscrapers as if they were playing as Spider-Man.
According to the modder, this is the first custom skin to be introduced in the game, while others, like being able to play as famous comic book creator Stan Lee, were re-skins of other skins that were already in the game. Players who want to know how to install mods can head over to NexusMods for more details.
