To use the edition you must:
- Press and hold the sent message.
- Choose “Edit” from the menu.
- Write the new text.
- You have up to fifteen minutes to do it.
Until now, users had to delete a message entirely or submit a correction in a separate message.
It will show that your message was edited
Eye! Modified messages will show the status “edited”, so recipients will be aware of the correction, but will not be able to see the history of changes.
WhatsApp stressed in an email to the press that, as with all personal messages, multimedia files and calls, the changes you make will be protected by end-to-end encryption.
The WhatsApps editing function has already begun to be implemented in the world and will be available to all users in the coming weeks.
