The candidate of the opposition front Fuerza y Corazón por México, Xóchitl Gálvez, signed in blood her commitment that, If he wins the race, he will not eliminate the social programs implemented in the current federal administration.
“I stamp my blood, which is the most valuable thing I have, that social programs are not going to be removed, it is a blood pact that I will respect“, he said this Friday after which he made an incision on the index finger of his left hand to put his blood print on the document with the commitment.
On her first day of the campaign, the standard bearer of the coalition made up of the National Action Party (PAN), Party of the Institutional Revolution (PRI) and the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), visited Guanajuato, the most violent state in Mexico .
At the rally held at the Sergio León Chávez stadium, in the municipality of Irapuato, Gálvez promised that, if he wins the elections on June 2, he will not only maintain pensions for older adults, but will lower the minimum age of the beneficiaries, 65 to 60 years.
Besides, signed before a notary, with ink and blood, the commitment not to eliminate the social programs established by the government of Andrés Manuel López Obradorwhom he has criticized and confronted in recent months.
Gálvez precisely attacked the president of Mexico for the violence that permeates the country.
“Today in Mexico the value of life does not exist, there have been 180,000 people murdered, 180,000 people who have a first and last name“, said.
The presidential flag of the opposition recalled two massacres that occurred in Guanajuato: the first, in Salvatierra, where 11 young people died, and the second, in Celaya, where five medical students were killed.
He proposed the creation of a new maximum security prison to lock up those responsible for both crimes.
“There we are going to send those who dare to continue harming our young people. The murderers of the young people of Salvatierra, the murderers of the young people of Celaya, must be there,” he said.
He also announced that he will double the number of National Guard agents, and return federal programs to strengthen local police corporations.
“They are going to have the bravest president. The hugs are over, we need to recover peace and tranquility here in Guanajuato,” she said.
Xóchitl Gálvez affirmed that when she is president of Mexico, she will not blame her predecessors as López Obrador does.
“I am not going to blame Calderón, nor am I going to blame Enrique Peña Nieto, much less when I am president I am going to blame Andrés Manuel López Obrador; “I am going to take care of his safety,” he said.
In the June 2 elections, the largest in the country’s history, 20,375 federal positions in Mexico will be renewed, including the presidency, the 500 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and the 128 in the Senateas well as nine state governments including Mexico City.
