As we already announced yesterday, Xiaomi will present on October 28 to the new family of Redmi Note 11, devices that will be accompanied by the Redmi Watch 2, a device that is expected to end up becoming the second generation of the Xiaomi Mi Watch Lite that we know in Spain.
We already have the first official images of this device, and we see how has undergone a slight redesign where its screen will take on a major role thanks to a much improved use of the front with respect to what we saw in its first generation.
The bezel-less display takes over the entry-level smartwatch range
Undoubtedly, something that users criticized of the previous generation of the Redmi Watch was the poor use that the front panel had with respect to the body of the device. Apparently, Xiaomi has listened to these comments and has put to work to solve this problem as it has done in the current generation of the Xiaomi Mi Smart Band 6, where we have seen a larger screen size without affecting the size of the product.
In this new generation of Redmi Watch 2 we see how the panel takes a greater role in the overall design of the watch, being much tighter to the edges and giving the feeling of having a practically all-screen product in your hands.
Some rumors also suggest that the Asian firm I would have decided to incorporate AMOLED technology in this panel in order to have a better visualization of all the content, in addition to other advantages such as a longer battery life by using a dark looking interface and being able to host functionalities such as always on display. We will see if this rumor ends up being carried out or not.
For the rest, the truth is that the general appearance of the product is still practically intact with a square appearance that is accompanied by a silicone strap that appears to be identical to that of the previous generation. What if it has changed is the side button, being now in a much more centered position and in a somewhat longer format, which will mean greater comfort of use on a day-to-day basis.
Finally, we have also been able to see that the range of colors that will be offered is identical to that of the original Redmi Watch, being able to choose in black, blue and beige finishes. We can only wait until next October 28 to know the rest of the specifications and, above all, its final price, which It is estimated that it will be around 30 euros in its Chinese version and practically 50 euros when its Global variant is presented.
