The Xiaomi Mi CC10 Pro which will succeed in the Mi CC9 Pro or Mi Note 10 in France would be the first smartphone to offer a photosensor capable of zooming to 120x. This magnification capacity is 20% higher than that of the Galaxy S20 Ultra and its 100x zoom telephoto lens, the highest to date.
Xiaomi is now following in the footsteps of its compatriot Huawei. The manufacturer intends to play spoilsports at the top of the best photophones on the market. The Mi CC9 Pro occupied the head of the DxOMark ranking for a few weeks. His successor should also make a strong impression. The first information on the smartphone’s photosensors has just been revealed by the famous insider Xiaomishka.
Xiaomi is preparing a smartphone with the code name CAS whose trade name would be none other than the Mi CC 10 / CC10 Pro to believe the insider. The special feature of this model is that it has a telephoto lens with a 12x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom, all 20% higher than the best in the field today. Samsung had indeed strongly highlighted the 100x zoom of the Galaxy S20 Ultra called “space”.
After the megapixel race, the battle now seems to be fought on the zoom terrain. The advantage is to offer users the possibility of photographing objects from several meters away while keeping decent image quality. Apart from the zoom, the Xiaomishka report also mentions the presence of the SoC Snapdragon 775G which has not even been formalized by Qualcomm yet.
As a reminder, the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro which was released in France under the name Xiaomi Mi Note 10 ships the SoC Snapdragon 730G. Another piece of information regarding the photo block is that the main sensor of the future Mi CC10 Pro will be the successor to Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright HMX module. We remain on a definition of 108 MP but the Tetracell technology is replaced by Nonacell. The latter is capable of combining nine pixels into one to capture more light. The new smartphone would be formalized in July if the information turned out to be correct.
