The semiconductor crisis continues to ravage the market. It became known that Xiaomi ordered the production of the Redmi Note 10 to be stopped in Indonesia. Now it is reported that the Asian company is increasing the prices of its terminals in India. According to reports, both the Redmi Note 10 and the POCO M3 have increased their purchase value.
For the moments, the measure only affects India. However, the price of both devices is likely to increase in the global market as well, all due to the current shortage of chips which no longer only affects the mobile telephony market, but also the automobile industry.
Considerable increases for
Since its launch, the Redmi Note 10 has increased its price about five times. The 4 GB / 64 GB version of the terminal currently costs 13,999 rupees, which represents an increase of Rs 500. In March, when the device was officially launched, its value was 11,999 rupees. This means that in recent months it has been added about 2000 rupees to the value of the device, that is, about 23 euros to change.
On the other hand, the POCO M3 has received its third price increase since the market came out. Therefore, its most recent version of 4 GB / 64 GB has been added 500 rupees more, about 6 euros to change. This increase places its current value at 10,999 rupees, when previously it was sold in 10,499 rupees.
Chip shortages are causing problems around the world. When the Redmi Note 10 and POCO M3 were released, these were hailed as the best value for money smartphones in India. However, due to the rise in prices, this denomination could be losing it, not only in this market, but perhaps in the rest of the countries where Xiaomi has a presence.
