Sony consoles have been unbeatable for years.
During all these years, more or less since the second half of the 7th generation, when Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360 remained on the market, it has been possible to see how the domain of PlayStation has been absolutesince its consoles, except in the case of PlayStation Vita, have swept sales, to the point that Xbox has always been relegated to second place while Nintendo has not stood out until the arrival of Nintendo Switch in 2017.
And this is on a global level, since if we talk about Europe, the domain of PlayStation is much greater than that of the Romans in ancient times, this being the favorite brand in most of the countries of the old continent. However, currently accessing a console is quite complicated except for Nintendo Switch in its 2019 model (the OLED model is sold out as soon as reservations are opened), due to the semiconductor crisis that has been ravaging the world since practically the beginning of the health pandemic.
Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch are the two best-selling consoles in Europe
The latter has caused getting one of these consoles to be quite an odyssey, which means that not everyone can access them. However, by the time they are available, they sell out in minutes. And under this same premise, it must be said that, despite Nintendo Switch is the best-selling consolein Europe there has been a historic milestone, since Xbox is outselling PlayStation.
This has been known thanks to a study that GamesIndustry has shared, (clarifying that Germany and the United Kingdom have not been included in it). In this way, among other data, it has been confirmed that Xbox Series S is the best-selling console along with Nintendo Switch, this being perhaps motivated by greater availability.
However, whatever the reason, it has been achieved that Xbox Series surpasses PS5 for the first time in sales, which leaves Sony in a bad situation, since this has been its historical territory, especially if we take into account that two great exclusives were recently launched.
