Reports detailed that Kyong beat and duct-taped Sook in her room after 1 p.m. He then put her in her truck and drove into a forest near Seattle and upon arriving from her, the 53-year-old man lowered her semi-conscious wife and stabbed her repeatedly.
The attacker dug a hole to hide the woman, thinking she would bleed to death. However, fortunately, Young Sook An used her Apple Watch to call 911 and send a distress call to her daughterjust before her husband hit the smartwatch with a hammer.
After being buried, the woman regained consciousness, removed the duct tape from her mouth and hands before climbing out of the hole. Although her injuries were serious, they were not that deep, so she was able to walk until she found a place to hide. The police, her daughter and the fire department found her.
