One of the most popular reviews about Windows 11 is the operation of the taskbar. Losing functionality like classic drag and drop is a problem. At Microsoft they are aware of this limitation and are already working to fix it.
The ability to drag and drop from the taskbar will revert to Windows 11
We know that in addition to this, the taskbar also has other problems, but at the moment it seems that this is being solved. According to sources close to Deskmodder, Microsoft is working on the ability to drag and drop icons to the taskbar. This renewed functionality would be ready after Christmas and, although it may arrive earlier, many place its launch in October of next year.
In Build 22458 it could already be found hidden. Of course, for it to work we needed modify the registry. Microsoft is working in countless areas but so far it has not shown more than what we have seen in the Windows Insider program.
It seems that the Redmond giant recognizes the simplicity of the new task deck and that very soon we will recover productivity and many users will be encouraged to make the leap. The reality is, it doesn’t make sense for a productivity-promoting company to remove one of its most popular features.
We hope it will not be delayed until the October 2022 update and that through any of the patches we receive this functionality. You need to bring back the existing and useful features that defined Windows if you want the new operating system to succeed.
