Windows 11, Microsoft’s long-awaited new operating system, has arrived somewhat bumpy. The Redmond giant announced its new operating system a few months ago and made a tool available to users. This was in charge of indicating whether or not our PC was compatible with Windows 11. The problem is that it did not indicate the reasons for rejecting our equipment. Now it seems that this problem has been completely solved.
Microsoft re-releases its Windows 11 Compatibility Tool
Microsoft’s release of the application PC Health Check It was not easy. The app was displaying incorrect and incomplete results stating that some PCs did not meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11. When the app was officially presented it did not indicate the reasons why it could not be updated, generating even more confusion. The Redmond giant was forced to temporarily withdraw the app and has been working on it for the past three months. Now, it’s available again in preview form (via Neowin).
Since the application is not generally available, Microsoft has not spoken publicly about the app or drawn attention to it. The latest version of the application (3.0.210914001) does not include a change log to show what’s new.
There are also questions about whether we need to be a Windows Insider to download the app at this time. A page titled “Windows Insider Preview PC Health Check Application” includes links to download the application. From this page, it looks like you have to be an Insider to download the PC Health Check app.
The launch of Windows 11 is getting closer and closer and the Redmond giant is finalizing all the details. We hope that this time the tool works as expected and helps users to discover the problems with their old PCs.
