Unfortunately, yesterday, March 13, 2022, it was announced that William Hurt, an actor that you will surely recognize for his participation in the MCU, has died at the age of 71. Although in 2018 he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, it has been mentioned that his death was of natural cause.
Through a statement, his son confirmed this sad news. This is what he commented on it:
“It is with great sadness that the Hurt family mourns the passing of William Hurt, beloved father and Oscar-winning actor, on March 13, 2022, one week shy of his 72nd birthday. He died peacefully, among relatives, of natural causes. The family requests privacy at this time.”
William Hurt was born on March 20, 1950. The actor made his film debut in 1980. During this decade, Hurt was nominated three times for the Best Actor Oscar for his roles in Kiss of the Spider-Woman 1985, for which he won this statuette, Children of a Lesser God from 1986, and Broadcast News from 1987.
However, You’ll likely recognize this actor from his portrayal of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross.role he took for The Incredible Hulk in 2008, and performed in Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Black Widow.
