We already know that Karl Urban will have powers in the third season of The Boys, but we did not know what it would be like, now its creator has explained it
The Boys is an Amazon Prime Video original series that was an immediate success since it premiered. His particular vision of a world with real superheroes and his peculiar point of view made each season a success. The third season will premiere on June 3 and will show how the team formed by Butcher, Hughie, Frenchie, LM, Kimiko and Starlight fight against Vought and his empire. Now Karl Urban has talked about his character and what we can expect in this new batch of chapters.
As we saw in the preview of this new season, Karl Urban as Butcher gets powers. This is probably because he has injected himself with Compound V, a liquid that is what makes superheroes have powers. This new plot is really quite curious since he is going to become what he always wanted to eliminate, a superhero. Or into a supervillain.
“The fun really is seeing how far they’re willing to go. Really seeing how they unfold and the uncertainty of how they are going to be. It’s funny how each plot pushes the boys further and ultimately they have to survive and take down Vought.” Urban commented in a interview.
In the comics, the main characters have powers from practically the beginning, but in the series it has taken three seasons. The character played by Karl Urban will probably become a kind of Homelander, but will he be any good? After all, we can see him in the trailer crushing a superhero.
The chances that he is a villain are not very high since, after all, they are considered villains by superheroes and they perfectly comply with the saying. If you can’t beat them, join them.
