A new report informs that GTA Online will no longer have new updates, which could mean the game will end support and be on its way to being replaced with its next-gen version. GTA 6 is in development and according to most rumors it is planned for 2023 or 2024. Of course, the transition from GTA 5 to GTA 6 is an easy one for Rockstar Games, but the transition of GTA Online from what it is now to what will be next to GTA 6 is a more complicated task.
At some point, Rockstar Games is going to have to rip the bandage off and move on, and according to a new rumor from Matheusvictorbr, GTA Online will no longer have new updates after a last substantial update this summer before the GTA 6 marketing campaign kicks off later this year.
A leak points to the arrival of a new city in GTA Online
GTA Online will no longer have new updates
The rumor that GTA 6 will be fully revealed this year is not a new claim, and has been confirmed by different reliable sources. However, many assumed that GTA Online would receive a few more major updates until the release of GTA 6, so this new information that GTA Online will no longer have new updates after one last one in the summer it can take more than one by surprise.
This is everything that includes the new subscription service to GTA Online
The rumor itself is enough to divide fans. On one side are Grand Theft Auto fans who have left GTA 5 and GTA Online behind and have been eagerly awaiting GTA 6. For these fans, this rumor is welcome news. However, for the many who still play this game mode, the fact that GTA Online will no longer have new updates is not good news at all. However, not all insiders agree with this, and there is already one who denies this outright.
I hate being “that guy”, but Matheus is not a leaker, all of those claims are total nonsense.
Might be time to stop giving attention to people with 0 credibility claiming things out of nowhere. https://t.co/5RGsKa07n8— Yan2295 (@Yan2295) April 7, 2022
