Two of the most iconic villains in science fiction, Darth Vader he is the king of evil starwars, while Thanos it is in Marvel. Have you ever wondered who would win in a fight between the two? The answer will surprise you.
There is a key element: the British Kieron Gillen (UK, 1975) wrote comics about both characters. And in them a transcendental argument stands out to decide the hypothetical winner.
We must be clear that both the Mad Titan and the Dark Lord of the Sith are indispensable villains in pop culture, as it is well highlighted ScreenRant’s Kevin Erdmann. “Both are equally compelling and dynamic characters.”
But, then, who would win in a fight? Let’s go with the arguments embodied by Gillen.
Darth Vader and Thanos, face to face in comics written by Kieron Gillen
In the canonical series of Darth Vader (2015), issue #17 featured the Lord of the Sith’s rivalry with the Great General Tagge. The latter had little respect for Vader.
And here we go with the point for the Dark Lord: Tagge points out that “Vader wins big victories in the same amount of time that I win a thousand small ones. He can win battles, but not wars.”
Meanwhile, what happens to Thanos? In AXE: Marvel’s Starfox #1, Eros talks about his brother, the Mad Titan.
The character admits the opposite of what Tagge says about Darth Vader: “While I can win battles, Thanos wins wars.”
Let’s remember that both comics were written by Gillen, so the plot line runs in parallel, worse with the same source.
Vader is a great warrior, but he will always serve Emperor Palpatine: he is still a subject. while Thanos he is the personification of death and in his possession he had the Infinity Stones, something immeasurable.
Therefore, a hypothetical fight between Darth Vader and Thanos would be won by the Mad Titan, Marvel’s greatest villain (so far). Do you agree with the arguments? Comment on our social networks about it.
