Today, Sunday June 4, will be a determining day for the Mexico state and Coahuila, since citizens will go to the polls to make decisions that will have an impact in the next six years. The choice of Edomex it is especially relevant due to the high electoral participation that is expected. According to Inegi data, of the 16.99 million inhabitants, around 12.6 million would be empowered to exercise their right to vote, according to the nominal list.
In the State of Mexico, a new governor will be chosen, who will be in charge of replacing Alfredo del Mazo Maza. The two remaining candidates, who are competing for the position, are Delfina Gómez, from the ‘Together We Make History in Edomex’ coalition; and Alejandra del Moral, PRI, PAN and PRD candidate.
While in Coahuila there are approximately 3,147 million inhabitants, according to the Inegi, but its nominal list is made up of two million 335 thousand 25 citizens. Coahuilenses will choose if they vote for Manolo Jiménez Salinas, candidate of the PRI, PAN, PRD alliance; by Armando Guadiana, from Morena; Ricardo Mejía, from the PT and Lenin Pérez, from the PVEM and UDC alliance.

How to locate your 2023 box for the Elections via INE?
The INE has enabled its platform that works 24 hours a day, where you can check the exact location of the 24,480 polling stations that will be installed on Sunday, June 4 for the 2023 Elections in Mexico in Coahuila and the State of Mexico. This is how you should locate your box on the special INE platform:
1. Enter the INE official website to locate your box.
2. Choose which is your federative entity.
3. Enter the 4-digit number of the electoral section to which you belong. Check the bottom of your credential.
How many booths will be enabled this Sunday?
According to the Executive Directorate of Electoral Organization (DEOE), in Edomex it is estimated to place 20,433 polling stations in the 6,574 electoral sections of the entity. Of these, only 6,561 will be considered basic polling stations, 13,085 contiguous, 725 extraordinary, and 62 special, where citizens in transit cast their votes.
In case you are not close to the box that touches you, 62 special boxes have been set up throughout the State of Mexico. However, in each of these polling places there will only be 1,000 ballots to vote, for which reason the electorate is suggested to organize their schedules and go to their section.
