There is an old protocol that determines who pays what at the wedding, although it is always important to remember that currently everything depends on the wishes and possibilities of the bride and groom.
It is becoming more and more common for both of them to save to pay for their wedding themselves, but if we were to decide on the tradition this is how the expenses should be distributed:
The boyfriend
Pay the engagement ring and the wedding dress (includes accessories such as veil, tiara, headdress and/or gloves). The groom is also responsible for the lone of honey.
the bride’s family
They bear the greatest expense since it is up to them to pay for Weddingthat is to say the place, the banquet, the music, the decoration, the invitations and the rest of the suppliers.
groom’s family
To them belongs the Civil marriage and they can help with alcohol at the reception, as well as for the honeymoon.
The godparents
Vigil: they are in charge of covering all the expenses of the church.
Rings: they will be in charge of buying the wedding bands.
Aarras: they will give the couple the arras as a symbol of prosperity.
Ribbon: the bridal bow
The ladies
They are the ones in charge of organizing the bachelorette party for the bride and of bearing the expenses between all of them.
