We’ll soon find out with the premiere of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, as Sam Raimi reveals who is more powerful, Doctor Strange or Wanda.
They are the two greatest wielders of magic within Marvel Comics. Sometimes it is said that one is more powerful than the other, depending on the saga or title in question. In cinema, very soon we will see the confrontation between these two beings when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opens. While we see it on the screen, Sam Raimi, director of this film, gives us his answer to an eternal question: who is more powerful, Doctor Strange or Wanda?
In a recent interview with Fandango, Sam Raimi addressed the question of who is stronger between Doctor Strange or Wanda. Erik Davis, who conducted the interview, posed the question this way: “Who would you say is more powerful in this movie, Doctor Strange or Wanda?”
Raimi answered in a funny and intelligent way: “Wow. That’s a question I’ve been asking kids on the playground since third grade. Who is stronger, this character or that? Well, I think Wanda’s magic, from Marvel lore, is more powerful than almost any of the other characters in this movie, but Doctor Strange has the knowledge of the mystic arts that Wanda doesn’t, and he has the help of Kamar Taj. If we faced them, different versions of themselves…there could be a Doctor Strange out there who was more powerful than our Wanda. Or there could be a Wanda out there more powerful than our Wanda here. So because of these altered versions, it’s all a mixed bag.”
