- No margin for error: the credit of Guillermo Salas in Alianza Lima depends on the classic
His exciting journey into competitive soccer began at the young age of 12, when Farik decided to step up and try out for Club Municipal. With the invaluable support of his mother, he managed to secure a place on the team, marking the beginning of his career in the sport he loved so much. Before that decisive moment, Farik used to display his talent in a modest place in his neighborhood called Matazango in La Molina, where his skills began to attract the attention of different coaches.
After passing through Municipal, Farik had other experiences in teams like Deportivo Coppsol, but returned to the ‘Franja’ at the age of 16, where he stayed until last year. However, in that last year, things became complicated. Despite having performed well in the reserves, the manager decided not to consider him for the championship.
Faced with this situation, Farik did not give up. Rather than sit idle, he decided to find a way to continue training and earn some money to support his family financially. Thus, in September, he began working as a taxi driver in his spare time. His brother, who also works as a driver, would lend him his car so Farik could earn a living while preparing for one-on-one training sessions. Despite the obstacles and difficulties, Farik always kept his goal of becoming a professional footballer. He never had a plan B, since he trusted his talent and was willing to make an effort and sacrifice to achieve it.
The opportunity to join Deportivo Garcilaso came via a trial for the reserve team. Farik impressed those in charge of the imperial club and stayed in Cusco to pursue his dream. His arrival in the imperial city was possible thanks to the financial support of his family and friends, who made his bus trip possible.
With his determination and perseverance, Farik has managed to sign his first professional contract. Although time in reserve is essential for his development, he has been selected directly to be part of the first team. He signed a contract for a year and a half, and his wish is to be able to debut as soon as possible.
Farik Ventura’s story is an example of struggle, dedication and sacrifice. Despite the economic difficulties and the lack of opportunities, he never gave up on his dream and always trusted his talent. His story teaches us that with determination and passion, it is possible to overcome obstacles and achieve the desired goals. Farik Ventura is a true fighter, and his signing of a professional contract is just the beginning of an exciting journey in the world of soccer.
