We show you some of the countries that are most economically supporting Ukrainethrough an investment percentage of its own GDP.
Some time ago the whole world received news that would change the course of history as we knew it, since although the appearance of Covid-19 during 2020 was already enough for a considerable economic decline, the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin announced that he would start a military movement in which Ukraine would be invaded (due to interests that had been getting complicated for decades in the past), having high repercussions on the economy of both countries involved, those around them and also on some outside these territories that maintained strong trade agreements (such as Mexico).
Under this news, social networks became “the eye of the hurricane” since they allowed the population around the world to see what was happening, as well as some types of fake news where important media outlets suffered some image damage due to the “creativity” of users; however, this war went far beyond digital.
Unquestionably, in this dispute there is a particular side that has won the world’s solidarity (for the most part) and we can see it at an economic level, since the most important brands in the world were not afraid to demonstrate their position in favor of Ukraine and take certain actions against Russia.
To take into account how much impact this has, it would be worth recalling some announcements from the brands that took “arms” against Russiabetween them: volkswagen when it announced the cessation of its production in Russia; microsoftwhen its own president chose to report that the actions of the invading country were out of place, so it would stop all kinds of sales to the Russian giant; Adidaswho stopped their contracts and unlinked all kinds of sponsorships in the teams belonging to the Russian Football Federation; Facebookwho blocked the monetization of Russia’s state media to prevent them from generating more income, among other members who were not afraid to give Russia an economic attack.
Considering these announcements, there is no doubt that One of the countries that is supporting Ukraine the most is the United States (since some of the most important companies in the world in their different aspects are American); however, this is not a war of three countries, but with this decision some alliances were formed, while some others chose not to choose any party.
Despite this, there is no doubt that this conflict is having a direct impact on the economy of countless countries (as is the case in Mexico with the rise in the price of gasoline and other elements due to deals that manage to influence the nation’s GDP).
A few months after it started, the war between russia and ukraine It does not seem to have a winner yet, but brands have shown a strategic role that could make any nation think about their actions.
