The real estate portal Lamudi carried out a study that analyzed which are the mayoralties of Mexico City that adapt to a more aestheticaccording to Gen Z, and how much it costs to live in them.

This concept encompasses different stylistic and thematic elements. Although its strict translation into Spanish is ‘aesthetic’, it allows multiple styles to feel identified as such.
According to Lamudi, the young population that is becoming independent is one of the most interested in renting an apartment in Mexico City; either for reasons such as work, studies or even to change your lifestyle.

What do these areas of the capital offer?
Lamudi analyzed the aesthetic elements and the average income of 13 municipalities. The final calculation establishes that the five most aesthetic from Mexico City are:
1. Cuauhtemoc
The most central mayor’s office in the city obtained the highest score (10 points). It has the widest range of museums, restaurants, bars, cycle paths and Ecobici stations. According to data from the real estate portal, the average rental price is 24,500 pesos.
2. Miguel Hidalgo
Home to the Soumaya Museum, the Jumex Museum and the Chapultepec Castle, Miguel Hidalgo is the second mayoralty in the ranking with a score of 9.29. It is the third area with the largest number of Ecobici stations and the second in the city with the most museums. Areas like Polanco, Lomas de Chapultepec, Nuevo Polanco, Anzures and Anahuac concentrate the most expensive properties in the city. The average price of apartments for rent amounts to 35,000 pesos.
3. Benito Juarez
With a score of 7.86 in the Lamudi ranking, Benito Juárez stands out for being the second municipality with the most Ecobici stations and with the most cafeterias and bars. However, their Heritage Conservation Areas are minimal. Renting an apartment in this area costs an average of 23,000 pesos.
4. Coyoacan
It stands out for having a lower rental price than Cuauhtémoc and Miguel Hidalgo. Coyoacán obtained 8.7 points in the ranking. It is located south of Mexico City and stands out for being the third area with the most museums, among which the Casa Azul de Frida Kahlo Museum, the University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC) and the Museo Casa de León Trotsky stand out. In Coyoacán the average for apartments is 16,900 pesos.
5. Alvaro Obregon
With a score of 7.14, she ranks last in Lamudi’s top 5. Although it does not have a very extensive area of Heritage Conservation, it has a moderate number of bike paths, Ecobici stations and museums, enough to maintain a lifestyle aesthetic. The average income in Álvaro Obregón is 23,500 pesos.
