After months of reviewing dozens of audition tapes, Warner Bros. and DC Studios are close to defining who the new Clark Kent and Lois Lane will be for Superman: Legacy.
In accordance with Deadline, the casting stage of the film that will open the DCU Chapter 1 “Gods and Monsters” will go to its first series of face-to-face auditions with executives from Warner and DC Studios co-chairmen James Gunn and Peter Safran. Testing would take place around Father’s Day weekend, or the following Monday or Tuesday.

So who would be up for the coveted roles? The medium notes that agreements for the tests have not yet been closed with all the candidates; on the other hand, it may be that other actors will not be able to participate in this initial round due to scheduling problems. But, for now, the sources indicate that these would be the actors who will audition in person Superman: Legacy.
For Clark Kent/Superman, the candidates are:
- Nicholas Hoult (Renfield: Vampire Wizard)
- David Corenswet (Pearl)
- tom brittney (Greyhound: In the enemy’s sights)
For the role of Lois Lane, the plucky Daily Planet reporter and Superman’s romantic interest, the following are expected to cast.
- Emma MacKey (sex education)
- Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel)
- phoebe dynevor (Bridgerton)
