On the occasion of Munich Autoshow, Mercedes Benz confirmed that its iconic truck will be joining its family of electric vehicles: the EQG it maintains the rugged, angular look of the gasoline version, but incorporates details typical of a battery-powered vehicle.

From the outset, this is noticeable in the replacement of the grille with a glossy black band at the front, it is a panel with reproductions of the emblem of Mercedes Benz miniature which, in turn, is surrounded by a frame with a strip of white light.
Admittedly, well, at first glance, it looks superfuturistic.
However, it is not only about the looks, but also the capabilities. off road of this vehicle that, according to Mercedes-Benz, will soon be launched on the market.
To ensure that you will not stop on dirt or rock roads, the EQG will incorporate 4 electric motors, one for each wheel, in addition to having an independent suspension for the front wheels and a rigid rear axle.
The company assured that its truck will be developed on the demanding off-road test track of Schöckl, with 5.6 kilometers of longitude and slopes of ascent in 60 degrees, with the objective that the vehicle is at the height of the Class g original.
Of course, the details of power and acceleration have not been released. But a date begins to sound for her arrival: 2024, a future in which the EQG will be able to advance, like the DeLorean from “Back to the Future”, no need for a path.
