In this first series of three games, the reappearance of Raúl Jiménez with the Mexican jersey stands out. In the last round of games Jiménez could not appear due to sanitary restrictions imposed by the United Kingdom to travel to Latin America; since upon his return he is required 10 days of isolation to verify that he is not a carrier of any variant of the current coronavirus.
“Almost a year has passed since the last FIFA Date I was in, it is something very cool to come back and be with them again,” Jiménez told Televisa.
Being selected generates great emotion in the players, so Jiménez did not let it pass, “it’s like it’s the first time i come”.
Jiménez will be with Hirving ‘Chucky’ Lozano, as the stars of El Tri to face the Canadians.
Canadians won’t make it so easy. Alphonso Davies, the most expensive footballer in Concacaf, was called up by the Canadian National Team. The Bayern Munich player suffered an injury after the meeting with the United States in September, however in the list of players he confirmed his inclusion for this day FIFA.
Canada has no record of having beaten Mexico in their last three games and less at the Azteca Stadium.
