Last year, WhatsApp announced that it would no longer be available for several smartphones after December 31 of last year. As of that date, users of devices with Windows Phone can no longer create new accounts or verify existing ones.
As for the most used systems, that is, iOS and Android, the application noted on its support page, which will no longer be compatible with iPhone devices that have iOS 8.
As for Google’s operating system, WhatsApp will no longer be available on devices with Android 2.3.7 and earlier versions. In both cases, the application can no longer be used as of February 1, 2020.

What phones is WhatsApp compatible with?
The instant messaging application noted on its support page, which will remain compatible with the following devices:
Android with operating system 4.0.3 or later.
iPhone with iOS 9 or later.
Some models of phones with KaiOS operating system 2.5.1 or later, including JioPhone and JioPhone 2 devices.
