Currently one of the ways in which users can protect their privacy in WhatsApp is adjusting who can see profile photo, information, statuses and the last time they were connected. However, most of these settings only allow you to choose between three options that are not always to the liking of users.
For example, if you want to hide the last time you connected, you can only choose between: Everyone, Nobody or My Contacts. The problem is that if you want to hide this information from someone in particular, you would have to delete it as a contact and then select the option that only your contacts see this information.
The process is cumbersome, and if you want to hide your last connection from more than one person, it involves investing some time.
Fortunately, this will change very soon, as WABetaInfo revealed that WhatsApp is working on a new configuration within the privacy settings that will allow you to choose one by one those users who do not want them to see the time of your last connection.
The setting is similar to the one found in the “Add to groups” section, since you can choose the “My contacts except …” option, which allows you to create a “black list” with the people you don’t want to see that data, but you don’t want to delete it from your contact list either.
The source also warns that as with the read receipt, users who decide that they cannot see your last connection will not display this information for you either.
The feature is still in development, but will come later for Android and iOS.
