With the years, WhatsApp privacy has been improving a lot, both with the encryption of messages and the options to hide status. And as it comes from the hands of WaBetaInfo, the medium specialized in advancing news of the messaging platform, the application will receive in a next update the possibility of hiding the “Last time” of connection to the contacts we choose.
Until now, WhatsApp allowed us to show our last connection time to everyone, to no one or only to our contacts. The novelty that they will launch soon is to choose which people from our contacts we want to exclude from the possibility of seeing our connection data. That is, as an excluded list.

WhatsApp is planning to add the “My contacts except …” option for Last Seen, Profile Picture and About, so you will be able to exclude specific contacts without disabling the feature! 💯
Note: you cannot see the last seen of excluded contacts.Availability: in a future update. pic.twitter.com/LWTihboePd

No changes to “Online”
This WhatsApp measure will be appreciated by many of those people who want to hide their last connection time from, for example, co-workers and bosses, but not from partners, friends or family. Definitely, can be used to fight bullying, such as being able to remove the double blue tick.
What remains unchanged, however, is the “Online” status. Although there are tricks, officially and comfortably there is no way to hide it from anyone, which leads to the appearance of applications with which to monitor how many hours a day the person we indicate spends “Online”.
This, beyond being a stalking/ major spying, you can harass and control someone else’s life, because unfortunately some of these apps work perfectly. In Telegram, for example, the status “Online” can be easily hidden.
