WhatsApp has begun enabling the ability to send images and videos in original quality with a shortcut in the Documents section, so that they will be shared in this format to maintain their quality on devices with Android operating system.
The instant messaging platform launched sending HD quality images a month ago, so that users can send photos without losing resolution with both Android and iOS mobiles. This measure is also being carried out to video files.
Goalowner of WhatsApp, continues to work on new options that facilitate the transmission of files with a higher resolution, because it continues to perform slight compression on the file when sending. With it, the content is no longer sent in its original quality.
A few days ago WaBetaInfo announced that the platform was working on a new document menu button that allowed you to select photos and videos from the gallery to send them in a chat in their initial format.
From this portal they remembered that this could already be done previously, but that the platform had facilitated the process to carry it out. This is because until now you had to access it through folders to send these multimedia files.
WaBetaInfo has now commented that the company has begun the deployment of this functionality with the new beta of WhatsApp for smartphones Android 2.23.19.3, released through the Google Play Beta program.
Now, when the attach document button is selected, this service will show two options. The first, already existing, is ‘Search other documents’. The second, ‘Choose from gallery’, for images and videos.
With this feature, which serves as a shortcut for sending files, it is easier to access photos and videos in their original quality, which will be sent in document format and without compression, regardless of their size.
