After its debut on Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones in early September, cross-platform WhatsApp chat history transfer feature now reaches more Android devices, although not yet for all its versions.
Starting today, users of Google Pixel smartphones – who are currently the only ones with Android 12 – can move their entire message historyincluding voice memos, photos and videos, from an iPhone to your Android phone.
Unlike Samsung phones, where the feature is available on devices running Android 10 and above, here it’s limited to Android 12 phones. And that means, for now, cross-platform history transfer is only available to owners of a Pixel device.
