Through a Press releasethe same HBO pointed out that the first episode of “House Of The Dragon” drew 9.986 million viewers across linear platforms and HBO Max in the United States on Sunday night, the largest audience for any new original series in HBO history.
After earning rave reviews during the first episode, the series has the challenge of keeping the audience engaged with the development of the story that is based on the book by George RR Martin, “Fire and Blood”.

The first episode of House Of The Dragon culminated in the appointment of Rhaenyra Targaryens as successor to the throne of King Viserys I Targaryenin the midst of a climate of tension due to mistrust in King’s Landing before the fact that it is a woman who inherits the throne.
