Basically, You will be able to add a six-digit PIN code to the most personal conversations found in the “Chat Blocking” section.with this no one will be able to check your messages even if the other person has your smartphone, as they will need the fingerprint or face, pattern and secret key that only you know.
The guide to using the WhatsApp “secret code”
- It is necessary to indicate that the secret code is currently available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android users.
- To download the trial program, first go to the Google Play Store and in the search bar type the name of the application “WhatsApp” > access the app and scroll down.
- Here you will see the option to become a beta tester. If you can’t find it then click on the next link.
- Accept the conditions and you will have to wait a bit for you to start downloading WhatsApp Beta.
- The next step is to open the beta application (it is the same) > press the “Blocked chats”.
- Then, add your fingerprint or security pattern.
- Tap the three dots icon (top right) > click on “Secret code”.
- Finally, create your six-digit code and every time you enter one of these chats you must enter it previously.
Why you should hide your WhatsApp profile photo
- The first reason is that everyone will see it. If you have not configured your privacy and your image is seen by strangers, just by adding your number to their cell phone, they will be able to access that information and, as a consequence, take a screenshot.
- Another detail is that it is better to only share the profile photo with your friends or some contacts with whom you trust. To do this, go to Settings, Privacy, Profile photo and select who you want to share that information with.
- Additionally, anyone can take a capture photo and share it with anyone. WhatsApp has not yet implemented a way to notify you that someone has screenshotted your stuff.
- If for some reason it is your work cell phone and you use WhatsApp, it is best that you do not post anything in order to remain neutral.
- You can only recover them if you log in the traditional way to WhatsApp again.
