I believe that the true passion for leaving a legacy in the world of work does not imply raising the ego, but opening a gap so that others can pass.
Many people obstruct our way, for being a strong rival and in this way, we should be competitive by strengthening our knowledge and playing fair, in order to have a clear conscience and live in peace.
When we leave a legacy, either by retiring or by completing a cycle in a company, we must leave a positive mark so that our predecessors have a point of reference, a standard of how things are done.
There are such valuable people, who become strategic in our visas, if we have the humility, discipline and willingness to learn.
We can learn, both from a senior and from a junior, but let’s not miss the opportunity to continuously improve, when we settle, our brain will age, we must continually challenge ourselves.
How can you leave a work legacy?
- With your documented procedures and processes
- With a list of your documents
- Mentoring
- coaching
- With posts about your work
What will be your legacy to the World of Work?
For some, going to work is just “compliance with routines”, why do I express my ideas, if they don’t listen to me?… they have given up. But for others, every day, including Mondays, is a great challenge and they have knocked down “shop blindness”, which in a nutshell is seeing things, but not observing the areas of opportunity objectively.
We must rethink the way in which we act with clients, incidents, with our problems in daily life, in the face of crises… Does the way in which you react to daily circumstances make you happy? Do your procedures make your clients happy? Is the way your company operates profitable? What is your value added?…
It is clear that we will not please everyone, but our objective will not be to please the world, but to leave a positive legacy, which will serve as a point of reference for new generations.
