One of the things that has been on the lips of the entire gaming community is that KRAFTON, Inc. recently announced Moonbreaker, a new tactical turn-based strategy board game designed to be a true digital miniatures experience, set in a sprawling sci-fi universe created by Brandon Sanderson.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that, being developed by Unknown Worlds, creators of the Subnautica series, Moonbreaker (formerly known as ‘Project M’) will launch internationally in Early Access on September 29 on PC and Mac through Steam .

Through accessible and competitive turn-based gameplay, continuous content releases, and deep customization, Moonbreaker will offer a variety of gameplay experiences, especially for fans of board and collectible card games.
Players will be able to lead their Lineups, which are made up of Captains, Crew and Assistants, in quick turn-based encounters with a variety of gameplay possibilities. With over 50 Units (Captains, Crew and Assistants) available at Early Access launch, the Lineup combinations are endless.
Every aspect of Moonbreaker is designed to capture the feel of a physical miniatures game, without the limitations of the real world. With detailed, intuitive, and ever-evolving painting tools, players can take Unit customization to the next level. Custom palettes, beautiful finishes, customizable alignment canvases, and professional digital painting tools create the perfect space for player expression.
Players can paint their Units using traditional painting techniques (but with an undo button!) or marvel at the beautiful paint jobs created by professional miniature painters. “Moonbreaker was born out of a natural passion for board games that many of us share in Unknown Worlds,” said Charlie Cleveland, Unknown Worlds Co-Founder and Game Director.
