The Call of Duty: Warzone player community is delving into all the weaponry available in the beloved battle royale, following its assimilation with Call of Duty: Vanguard, with a wide range of weapons at our disposal that will allow us to delve deeper into background in the goal.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that, normally the weapons of the video game of the moment enjoy indisputable popularity, but some players find a way to make some forgotten weapons of Black Ops Cold War shine again.
Since the integration between Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone in late 2021, weapons like the MP-40, Cooper Carbine, and Automaton have reigned supreme in the metagame. Benefiting from having ten accessory slots, Vanguard weapons are still the cream of the crop after many Raven tweaks, but they’re not for everyone.
Many players have returned to the weapons of Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, and they have been very successful. As Vanguard weapons have taken over, some older weapons have slipped under the radar at times, but can still be quite overbearing. Take the EM2 for example, it’s an incredibly underused weapon, but it actually has the best TTK for any Assault Rifle on Caldera.
That’s right, it’s not the XM4, Cooper Carbine, or AK-47 that’s going to rip opponents apart the fastest, but the EM2, a once-popular weapon that’s been dropped. Its TTK dominance was highlighted by both JGOD and IceManIsaac, with the latter noting that the weapon simply “scratches” at the time. According to JGOD stats, the EM2 has a TTK of 788ms, which is significantly higher than the XM4’s 832ms. However, the XM4 has the upper hand when it comes to Rebirth Island.
IceManIsaac also noted that there’s a lot of “visual movement” with EM2 that can put players off, but its recoil pattern is easy enough to manage and there’s no fancy build; it’s pretty typical of when EM2 was popular. As noted, the EM2 has fallen in popularity in recent seasons and ranks as the 48th most used weapon with a 0.33% pick rate, according to WZRanked.
