A video by Oscar Isaac and the executive producer of Moon Knight, Muhammad Diab, gives clues about the second season of the series Marvel and DisneyPlus. “What else would we be in Cairo for?” asks the Guatemalan actor.
Become one of the great successes of the season, Moon Knight tells the story of Steven Grant / Marc Spector and his alter ego, the Moon Knight, a character that despite being released in the comics in 1975 he had never appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The six episodes broadcast since March on Disney Plus served to engage the audience with its story, which culminated in introducing the third personality of Grant / Spector, that of taxi driver and thug Jack Lockley.
The TikTok video brings together a girl, producer Diab, and Isaac. The girl asks if there will be a second season of Moon Knight, Diab says “Oh, Moon Knight?” and Isaac throws “What else would we be in Cairo for?”
Moon Knight’s return to Marvel and the options that can be handled
In the first season Grant / Spector and his wife, Layla El-Faouly (the actress who plays her is May Calamawy) fight against Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke), who seeks to free the evil Egyptian goddess Ammit.
The closing of all six chapters reunites the god Khonshu, who guided Moon Knight throughout the series, with Hawke, entrusting his assassination to Grant/Spector’s third personality, Jack Lockley.
For the sequel, will Moon Knight interact with any of the classic Marvel heroes? In the comics he has been seen as he has allied himself with the so-called Heroes for Hire (Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Daredevil), the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy, among others. Does the arrival of series like The Defenders on Disney Plus open that door?
We’ll see.
Neither Disney Plus nor Marvel confirmed the second season, so we will have to follow the clues given by the Moon Knight characters on social networks.
